The xx’s Romy Announces Debut Solo Album, Shares New Song “Loveher”: Listen

The xx’s Romy has announced her debut solo album. Mid Air, an album described in the announcement as focusing on “celebration, sanctuary and salvation on the dance floor” and the community of queer clubs, is out September 8 via Young. Today, she’s shared the Fred Again..–produced album opener “Loveher.” Romy said in a statement: “Fred asked me, who could this be for, and I tentatively said… ‘maybe me.’” Check it out below.

Mid Air’s title track features Beverly Glenn-Copeland, and the album includes the previously released singles “Enjoy Your Life” and “Strong.” Find Romy’s upcoming tour dates below, too.
