Drake and SZA have a new song, “Slime You Out.” The duo’s new song is here before Drake’s new album, For All the Dogs, is set to arrive. Listen to “Slime You Out” below.
“Slime You Out” is Drake and SZA’s first collaboration. The teaser artwork featured a photo of Halle Berry getting slimed at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. On the track, Drake sings, “I’m slimin’ you for them kid choices you made.”
Drake worked on “Slime You Out” with producers Bnyx, Noah “40” Shebib, Dalton Tennant, and Noel Cadastre. He previously collaborated with Bnyx and, as usual, Noah “40” Shebib on “Search & Rescue.”
In 2020, Drake rapped on “Mr. Right Now” about how he “used to date SZA back in ’08” (the year the singer would have turned 19). After the release of the song, SZA clarified on her Twitter that she and Drake were actually involved in 2009, writing: “I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening . Completely innocent . Lifetimes ago .”
SZA released her most recent album, SOS, in December 2022. Later this month, she’ll embark on a second leg of North American tour dates in support of the record. She shared a music video starring Justin Bieber for her song “Snooze” in late August and just dropped “Snooze (Acoustic).”
Drake’s next album, For All the Dogs, is out September 22 October 6. He dropped two projects last year: Honestly, Nevermind and a joint album with 21 Savage, Her Loss. He has been on the North American leg of his It’s All a Blur Tour since June.
