Christina Cooksey joins Butchershop® Global as First Vice President, Content | BobbysBrane via PR Newswire | SAN FRANCISCO — Butchershop® Global, a company focused on development and transformation, has announced the appointment of Christina Cooksey to the newly created position of Vice President, Content at the company. Cooksey comes to Butchershop from Red Antler, where she was the Head of Content and Campaigns for clients such as Hinge, Prose, and Jellysmack. In her new role at Butchershop, Cooksey will be responsible for the company’s editorial direction. Cooksey will have the responsibility of managing the strategy, planning, creation, and production of creative content for client partners who are breaking into or out of emerging sectors and markets in his new role as vice president of content. Cooksey will also endeavor to enhance the existing content product portfolio, which will result in the growth of a central pillar of the company’s linked model. Ben McNutt, who is both the Chief Creative Officer and an Associate Partner, will be her immediate superior.

Butchershop is expanding its digital and content production capabilities, and this hire is a step in that direction. The company is doing so to better satisfy the high-stakes growth and transformation requirements of its clients. Butchershop’s developing content company will benefit greatly from Christina’s extensive skills thanks to the breadth and depth of her experience across a wide variety of content platforms and activations. In an era in which content and marketing strategies have fused together to produce a new editorial environment, the content team will strive toward the creation of one-of-a-kind experiences and connections with audiences as well as customers. Cooksey’s campaign work has been recognized by a number of prestigious organizations throughout the course of her career, including The Webby’s, The Shorty Awards, w3, SMARTIES, and OMMA.

Christina has held a variety of production and content development roles at a number of different agencies, including Deep Focus, DDB, and Tracy Locke, in addition to her time spent at Red Antler, where she served as executive director of content innovation and integration. Butchershop has nearly tripled the number of employees it employs and boosted sales by about 60 percent year over year prior to Cooksey’s entrance at the company. There are now 120 employees working across three nations and 12 cities. Butchershop, which operates as a hybrid remote workforce, intends to create “pod” spaces for collaborative events in Los Angeles and New York, where Cooksey is based. However, the first US facility is scheduled to open in San Francisco in the summer of 2022. The M&A strategy is currently being utilized by the agency in order to carry out further expansion into the EMEA, LATAM, and APAC regions.
